2. Participation is Voluntary
By registering for or taking part in the Mindful Crumb 5K Challenge, you confirm you’re doing so willingly and that you’re physically able to participate. You understand running/exercise involve inherent risks (injury, dehydration, slip, falls). You are responsible for your condition before, during and after the Event.

3. Risk & Liability Waiver
You participate at your own risk. Except in the case of our gross negligence or willful misconduct, neither Mindful Crumb nor its organisers, sponsors or affiliates shall be liable for any injury, illness, loss or damage that you suffer as a result of participation (including travel to/from the Event). You agree that your only remedy lies against yourself.

4. Photos, Videos & Use of Your Likeness
We may film, photograph or capture audio during the Event. By participating, you grant Mindful Crumb a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use your image, voice, name and likeness in promotional, marketing and social media materials connected to Mindful Crumb and the Run Differently movement.
If you prefer your image not to be used, contact us at hello@mindfulcrumb.com and we’ll use reasonable efforts to stop future publishing of your likeness (though we can’t remove material already distributed).

We (CRUMB ORIGEN LDA) are the data controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Portuguese data protection law.

5.2 Data Collected

5.3 Processing Purpose
We will use your personal data to manage your participation in the Event; to send you updates and results; and for marketing and promotional purposes related to Mindful Crumb and Run Differently.

  • For Event logistics: performance of contract.

  • For marketing and use of likeness: your explicit consent.
You may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing done prior to withdrawal.

We will retain your personal data no longer than necessary — generally up to two years after the Event — unless you request earlier deletion.

5.6 Your Rights
You have rights under GDPR: access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict processing, object, and lodge a complaint with the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@mindfulcrumb.com.

6. Code of Conduct
Participants must conduct themselves respectfully, comply with all safety instructions and guidelines of the Event. We reserve the right to disqualify or eject any participant whose behaviour is unsafe, disrespectful or disruptive.

7. Changes and Cancellation
We reserve the right to modify, postpone or cancel the Event due to weather, safety issues or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases our liability is limited to no more than refunding registration fee (if applicable); we are not liable for travel, accommodation or incidental costs.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts of Porto, Portugal, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
